Get an Affordable General Auto Insurance

It has been three years since I got my first brand new car which my mother bought me as a gift for my 18^th birthday. Of course, as a government mandated law, along with the brand new car she also availed of a general auto insurance that her friend introduced to her the day after she purchased a car for me. During my birthday party, she gave me the key of the car together with the general auto insurance documents telling me that it was about time to be responsible.

The next morning, when I was eating my breakfast, I thought of getting the documents that mother gave me last night. And so, I made a careful look at it so that I will know the exact coverage of the general auto insurance that mother availed for me. While reading, each part of the document I have learned that this is not the kind of insurance that I want to have. I want to have auto insurance coverage like that of my father’s. But because mother kept her gift for me a big secret, she did not even talk about that matter with my father.

My father is the thrifty kind of guy so he makes sure that he can get the best services out of less. According to him, when applying for general auto insurance he looked for the best insurance companies through the internet because he really wants the best for him and his car. One of the terms I have heard from him is “deductibles”, he told me that he increased the deductibles in his general auto insurance because it can show a good development of the cost of his insurance premiums. He got a higher deductible and put some of the money in his savings account because he can get the savings if ever he will be included in an accident. He saved his money and kept it as a source of emergency fund.

Since there are much additional coverage that every insurance company offers, my daddy did not get all of the additional coverage because he does not need those and it will just be a waste of money. My daddy paid his insurance payments fully for the whole year instead of paying them monthly because with that, he can really saved a lot because the monthly payments already have additional rates. And the best thing that my father did was that he applied for an insurance company that includes our home in his insurance coverage, also known as Multi-policies insurance.

I wished my mother did the same thing with my dater. The next time she’ll get me general auto insurance coverage, I got to make sure that she will pick the best insurance company that offers best general auto insurance.
